Entry #3 - Building Tristar's Panzer IV Ausf. C

The Tristar Panzer IV kit does many things well and some things not so good.  For me, it is a mixed bag.  However, the suspension bogies and wheels are an absolute work of art.  The folks at Tristar really out did themselves with research and the extreme detail that went into these beauties.  Too bad this commitment wasn't carried through out the rest of the kit.

For each suspension, I would build each side independently and then slid the rear part over the spring.  Then both parts are pushed into the pins (note - do NOT glue if you want the suspension to move).  Glue the cap on the top section only.  This will hold the suspension in place and yet remain moveable.  Like I said, an absolute work of art.

I finished up with the final drive and sprocket wheel.  Both are gorgeous but watch the placement of the exterior armor plates (dry fit the final drive on lower hull and make sure the front armor plate is placed correctly).
