I am bound and determined to finish the Fokker DVIII as fast as I can. Yesterday and today was able to get a few things done.
I spray painted the wheels neutral gray as that it the tire color. The wheel cover is Lozenge camouflage – so just put the decal on and I done with the wheels.
I put the first coat of white on the rudder. I found that white paint works best when sprayed on over several sessions. I also sprayed the prop with Vallejo wood. Eduard has supplied a dark wood decal. I am going to try an experiment and use the decal to represent those dark strip portions of prop (I have not found a hand paint them that I like). Then spray Future over it and use oil paints to blend together (and hope it doesn’t mess up the decal).
Lastly, I am working on scraping the seams off all of the struts. I really hate the grunt work.
