“We all live in a yellow submarine…er…Sherman Tank?” The tanks in Pacific took a beating when it came to the weather, so I want to represent one with faded paint and water marks. My plan is paint the tank in layers. First I prime the entire tank with Tamiya Yellow Green.
Next I highlighted with Tamiya Brown.
Lastly, I sprayed Vallejo Olive Drab (my favorite version). I then realized that that I should have used a darker color than Brown or sprayed it over several times as it did not really show up through the layer of Olive Drab. In areas that were heavily exposed to the sun I lightly sprayed Olive Drab so that the Yellow Green undercoating would show through. Overall I happy with the results.
After the paint dried I sprayed Future over the entire model to protect the paint and get it ready to put on the decals.
