It is going slow now. I started a new job last week – amazing how being laid off is beneficial for model building but hell on your bank account. I am still on target to get the Fokker completed before the upcoming model show.
I finished putting the under coat on. I am still unhappy with my streaking but since it will be covered with red I will live with it. Basically I would spray tiny dark streaks (about 50% thinner to 50% paint) in random areas and then I fill in with a thinner coat (about 80% thinner to 20% paint). I was hoping to get variations in tone so that when the red coating is sprayed on it would have variations in the lighter and darker areas. Oh well, we will see how it works out. Lastly, I sprayed a thin coat of Future.
Next I will be putting the decals on (the unit numbers were also oversprayed with red also). It should be fun trying to get the plane red and translucent at the same time.
